2017 Fairview Cellars "Madcap" | 92pts spaghetti Bolognese and spent 7 months inAs enjoyable as the 2016 but a very different version. From a cooler vintage, the dark fruits, tanins and acidity are more pronounced. This wine is just getting started, and I'm so impressed. Nose is bright, savoury and herbacious, with black berry, black cherry, chocolate and cassis. The palate is energetic and soo vibrant: the tanins hang for a very long time, and the finish evolves into pepper and spice. 16mo in 11% new French oak 92 points BC
