Gently crushed fruit was left to build texture and flavour before careful pressing and a subsequent cool ferment

The multi-clonal fruit (BGW19 and 222) is grown on a warmer north facing

Once in the winery 50% of the fruit was gently crushed keeping whole berries

2021 Snare Syrah quantity Our style is a fullerSyrah picked from a close planted vineyard in Adelaide Hills Kenton Valley. The fruit was hand picked in the cool of the morning and transported to the winery. 50% of the fruit was gently destemmed into an open fermentor and topped up with whole bunches. The fermented was gently plunged for three weeks where the wild ferment took place. The wine was pressed to second and third used hogshead before bottling the following Autumn. A spicy, light Syrah
