The Alpha rulebook contains a fantasy tale called "Worzel's Story" by Richard Garfield which was removed for the Beta release

I dont think cumulative upkeep is a fun mechanic and Im happy it seems to have faded out of Magic

That makes for a novel strategy, though certainly fragile

Notably, it's not referring to any spell or card not on the battlefield

This does still require a lot of setups, which is why it doesnt rank higher than this, but I can see a lot of decks wanting this card and also finding it very rewarding to build around it as the commander
