It would be great for storing rings, change, or other trinkets. The metal box features a lovely design on the top of the lid and has decorative feet. The box is lined with a blue velvet, which is somewhat discolored from age. The lid of the box operates smoothly. Overall the box is in good condition and shows nice patina, along with some minor denting from use
