Just add some impact tremors for your Snakes, buffs for Xyris, and plenty of Counterspells, and youll be made in the shade
It also has an overload cost of four mana, two of which has to be White, at which point it will destroy every creature in play instead
In Standard, it synergizes fantastically with existing green strategies as well as a splash to white or blue, where the smaller average creature size and higher rate of flying or lifelink makes the counters more impactful
I think the deck suffers from a steep mana curve and little ramp, though, but theres a decent amount of cost reduction to help make up for that
