I suspect this card is another that most would write off, but scrying is an underrated form of advantage

This will be a particularly strong card in location-based decks, as you can pull whatever location card you want to right out of your deck

The cards novelty leans on the buyback cost, which is expensive enough I wouldnt consider running it without combos

Note that if you control multiple Johanns you won't have the opportunity to cast an instant or sorcery spell from the top of your library before the "legend rule" gets you down to one Johann
