Deep Draw Forming is a specialized type of press forming used to achieve a desired shape by applying pressure between a punch and a die to bend, fold or stretch metal into complex configurations. During the deep draw manufacturing process, a sheet metal blank is radially drawn into a forming die by the mechanical action of a punch while being constrained by a blank holder to control material flow and prevent wrinkles. When the depth of the drawn part exceeds its diameter, the process is referred to as deep draw.
Our triple-action capability allows for reverse draws or re-draws within the same cycle, which can reduce the number of operations, save on tooling costs, and eliminate heat treatments for certain materials.
