Standex Engineering Technology Group (ETG) is proud to announce the 2025–2026 recipients of the Standex ETG Scholarships, awarded in honor of two distinguished Massachusetts Maritime Academy (MMA) alumni and former Standex ETG technical leaders, Richard Morganti ’82 and William Wellock ’83.
Rich and Bill were respected engineering mentors whose skill, character, and leadership left a lasting impact on our business and our teammates. These scholarships continue their legacy by supporting promising cadets pursuing careers in marine engineering.

Cadet Gregory Kay, a fourth-class student and member of the band from Housatonic, Massachusetts, has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Richard Morganti ’82 Memorial Scholarship.
In accepting the scholarship, Cadet Kay shared: “Thank you for your generosity in awarding me the Standex ETG scholarship. I am incredibly grateful to be given this opportunity to pursue my education. This will help take the financial stress of college off my shoulders and allow me to focus on my academics.
