One defense program that Spincraft has proudly supported since its inception is the V-22 Osprey. The V-22 Osprey is an unparalleled multipurpose combat aircraft that was designed to meet the evolving needs of the military. The Osprey is classified as a tiltrotor aircraft and is utilized currently by the U.S. Marine Corps, Air Force, and Navy.

Since 1987, Spincraft Wisconsin has delivered the Osprey’s particle separator that removes particles like dust and sand before it reaches the engine’s primary air filter. This complex assembly is comprised of parts formed from various processes such as metal spinning and stamping. Spincraft’s forming processes and experience enable us to achieve near-net forms that drastically reduce metal input weight and machining requirements, creating significant cost savings for the customer. These formed components are then expertly welded together into their final assembly by experienced Spincraft employees.

For unique and complex components like the particle separator, Spincraft support often does not end at delivery. Our business also handles repairs for these separator assemblies that have been used in the field and need refurbishment to get back to their best. Spincraft personnel expertly disassemble, assess, and rebuild units for return to the customer on rapid time schedules.

The Osprey fleet is projected to remain in service through 2050 and beyond. In that period, Bell Flight, Boeing, and the U.S. Armed Services can continue to rely on Spincraft to support the fleet with advanced metal formed solutions.
